Trees 4 Life brought together youth, elder activists, violence prevention workers, and urban foresters in Oakland to share  skills in silviculture and community organizing, and plant trees for community healing. Culminating in several community tree plantings, a large community picnic with plantings, ceremony,  and performances,  an original youth-created theme song, and documentary. I received an Audobon Toyota Green Fellowship to initiate and direct this project, in partnership with United Roots, Growing a Global Heart, Urban Peace Movement, and Urban ReLeaf (2011-2012)
